Wonder. is a cozy café tucked along Highway 111 in Palm Desert, offering a relaxed stop for locals and travelers looking for solid coffee and casual, approachable meals. The vibe here leans into a sunny desert casualness with a small but charming footprint, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating that accommodates those who want to linger or grab a quick bite.

Locals often swing by for breakfast or brunch, drawn by hearty options like breakfast sandwiches and avocado toast paired with thoughtfully crafted coffee drinks. The café’s coffee really stands out, with fresh lattes—some with playful touches like lavender—and iced coffee that holds its own on warm desert days. The attentive service is quick without feeling rushed, which helps whether you're meeting a friend or working solo with a laptop.

The menu is straightforward yet varied enough to satisfy different appetites. Beyond breakfast staples, Wonder. serves lunch sandwiches such as the California Club and a fried chicken burger that balance fresh ingredients with generous portions. Sides like hash browns and seasoned fries add simple comfort to the plates. The bakery items are popular early in the day and often sell out fast, so arriving in the morning is a smart move if pastries are your thing.

Because parking and foot traffic on Highway 111 make this spot easy to access, it works well for a casual meal stop during errands or a relaxed coffee date. The outdoor seating area gives room to watch local life go by under the desert sun, which is especially pleasant when the heat is mild. While the space is on the smaller side, plans to expand hint at growing popularity without losing that neighborhood feel.

Wonder. fits well in Palm Desert’s emerging café scene, offering a hometown atmosphere shaped by its family-run roots from Portland. Visitors who appreciate a low-key, well-made meal with good coffee and friendly local energy will find a comfortable spot here that reflects the rhythm of desert mornings and midday breaks.

Perfect spot for breakfast/brunch! Service was helpful, quick, and thorough! We enjoyed the special, a ham and Swiss croissant sandwich, as well as the avocado toast. Both were generous portions and tasted delicious! The fresh juice was a treat and lattes were perfect. The big straw was a cute touch. We’ll be back!

My group arrived right before closing and there was a bit of a rush. I saw this cute place on TikTok and wanted to try. The sandwiches that we received were great. I do wish we would have gone earlier for the pastries. Chris the owner told me that those go soo fast in the morning. They do plan on expanding the dining area to fit more customers. My group ate outside but the atmosphere was still pleasant because it wasn't too hot. I plan on going again. But not too soon. Give them a chance to acclimate to the social media popularity. I can only see them getting better.

Wonder is wonderful. We're so lucky to have this place in Palm Desert. It's a super cute, independent restaurant operated by a family who moved to the desert from Portland, OR. The menu has a nice, surprisingly varied, number of dishes. Many of both breakfast and lunch options. There's eggs, a burrito, checken sandwich, burger, salads, and more. I've had the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito several times. They also bake some beautiful and creative donuts. Note for the BNP tennis and Coachella crowds: The secret is out. This place gets VERY busy during those events. But if you're here in the other times of the season you shouldn't have to worry about it being too busy. Anyway, this place is worth a try next time you're in Palm Desert driving by on the 111.

Just a fun little coffee shop with really good food and a great location if you are on Highway 111 or live in Palm Desert. I really enjoyed the iced coffee I got and I don't remember when I have ever had better hash browns. Perfect spot for an meeting or a date.

Five stars for Wonder, a restaurant that actually lives up to its name—a place where someone clearly gave a damn about design. Everything feels intentional: colors that make sense, lighting that flatters, and typography that probably had its own creative brief. And the details—good god, the details. Glasses made of glass. Plates made of ceramic. Not tin, not plastic, not some postmodern compostable nonsense. Real materials for real humans. You feel civilized the second you sit down, which is saying something in this century. Then there’s the breakfast, a lineup of pure genius. Eggs that actually taste like eggs, pancakes that flirt with decadence, and coffee strong enough to remind you what day it is. Whoever’s running the kitchen deserves a medal or at least a second mimosa. Five stars. Wonder is what happens when design meets breakfast and both show up ready to work.

Very sad that I just discovered this place since I'm moving from the area soon. All the food is incredibly well thought out. Flavors are pronounced and balanced. Prices are very reasonable in comparison to similar places. The ownership and staff are extremely nice and upbeat. The interior is very bright and modern. They don't try to reinvent the wheel, they just do things very well. It's the kind of honest local spot that you can be glad to spend your breakfast or lunch money on.
